  1. 500 or 5k rms? its hard to belive only 500 rms would move that like that

  2. dropped99silverado on November 29th, 2009 at 11:03 pm

Its free air, doesn’t take much power to get it moving.

  3. oh yea thats just 500w its barely movin really

  4. nvm it has fi btl parts on it

  5. Thats must be a 02 or something because the basket of the 04 05 is a 12 spoke basket

  6. dropped99silverado on December 19th, 2009 at 11:36 pm

Nope ;) If this was an 02-03 version it would have had a flat bottom plate but yes this is using a 6 spoke basket unlike the 04-05′s used.

  7. why does it have a Fi dust cap ?

  8. @kylehobbs93 he used a fi recone kit but its a re sub

  9. oh, re dosent make recone kits ?

  10. @kylehobbs93 im pretty sure they do but fi is close to this re sub so it was probly cheaper with almost same power most likly

  11. re was owned by the same person who started “FI” he sold “re” audio to U.S Amps

  12. im thinkin bout gettin a few of these.. but i cant decide between the xxx, mx. or mt series.. any suggestions?

Lol, I love these youtube noobs. ROFL. So fawking stupid. Do you dress yourself? Feed yourself? If so, I am so proud of you!

    ROFL

  15. Arent you glad you got the Fi BTL instead of the xxx, Much better sub.

  16. you just made yourself look very dumb

  17. read the description retards…it was a blow old school RE XXX, RE doesn’t often recone kits for them…..so he contacts Scott at Fi the original designer of the sub to make him a custom recone….and just used a Fi dustcap.

  18. wont the sub get overheated by this action? If the air-flow is underneeth the magnet, the voice-coil wont get the hot air out? I would not have done that to my subs

Part 1/2 – The pole vent was unobstructed, non the less it would not affect cooling. You actually have better cooling with a solid pole piece because instead of air being wasted out the pole vent, it is forced down the gap and must wrap around the former/coil to exit the basket vents.

Part 2/2 – Look at the RE Audio MT, that has a solid pole piece, for aid in cooling from high power levels. Another example would be the cooling option on the Fi BTL, which actually eliminates the pole vent also or the pole plug option that Sundown Audio uses on there Nightshade. The only down fall from this, is the added mechanical noise, and why it is not used on smaller (lower power handling) subs.

  21. @sgtdoink Im pretty sure you did your research but the MT is strictcly an SPL sub that gets as loud or almost as loud as a btl. The XXX is a beast it plays the notes perfectly the sound quality from this sub is like no other ive heard it can get low and play high. The MX is just like the XXX but its little brother i actually own one of the last to be made but it doesnt play highs very good but this sub hits the lows harder and louder than the XXX. IF i were you i would go XXX u cant go wrong.

  22. alright.. thanks man… when i get my tax return im gunna buy a 15 re, and get a custom box for my trunk with an amp thats around 3000 watt rms

  23. it’s a re xxx.

  24. your a

  25. thats a fi btl
